Parking outside: the upper car park and the street

Before you enter the marina there are two parking areas in the village of Garraf:

  • Explanada superior: an open lot at the top of the village, very close to the station. View on Google Maps.
  • The street down to the marina: spaces on both sides, as far as the marina entrance. View on Google Maps.

The pay-and-display zone: when you pay

  • From roughly May to September: both areas are pay-and-display (blue zone), so cars turn over with the flow of beachgoers.
  • The rest of the year: they usually go back to being free. Always check the signs, which are what count.
  • In summer, the upper car park fills up before 9:30. If you are coming for a morning trip in July or August, arrive early or come by train.

The marina car park

It’s the easiest option if you’re short of time: you drive straight into the marina, which is run by Club Nàutic Garraf, and park close to the pontoon. Rates are about €3 an hour o €30 for a full day (24 hours). Check them with the club, as they may change. View the location on Google Maps.

By train: R2 Sud

Garraf has its own Rodalies station on the R2 Sud line, about 350 metres from the marina. There are direct trains from Barcelona Sants and from Vilanova i la Geltrú. It’s the most sustainable option and, in summer, the one that saves you hunting for a space.

Check the timetables on the Rodalies website or download the R2 timetable as a PDF.

If the group is complete and it’s time, the boat casts off on schedule out of respect for everyone’s time. Those 20 minutes of margin make all the difference.
